With Purim getting closer, I figured I’d share with you something that you can send in your Mishloach Manos. These look so classy and taste so creamy and delicious. Once you start eating them it’s hard to stop. I love these pops because there are so many different decorating options to match any theme, or you can just stick to the classy look if that’s more your speed. You can also send these as peanut butter balls, but I personally like the pops better.
1/2 stick of margarine
3 1/4 cups confectioners sugar
12 oz peanut butter
baking chocolate of your choice (melted in a double boiler)
styrofoam ( I bought mine at the dollar store in the flower section-see picture below)
sticks
Mix first three ingredients together until it has a creamy consistency. Form into balls and then freeze for a half hour. I find that the balls are difficult to work with as they get softer, so I usually leave the pan in the freezer, and only remove the one that I’m working with. Place the balls on a stick and dip into the melted chocolate. Allow the excess chocolate to drip off and then place the stick in the styrofoam until the chocolate dries. You can decorate with a different color chocolate, nuts or sprinkles.
Once they are completely dry, you can lay them in a 9 x 13 pan and freeze them until you need them.
Happy baking,
Esti
